Our Mission

Our organization serves the residents of Cape Monday Road and Pitts Road with the primary purpose of promoting community within our neighborhood while supporting local causes (see adjacent links) important to our lake and recreation area.

CMCRA History

The Cape Monday Cove Road Association (CMCRA) was formed over 40 years ago to represent the interests of residents of Cape Monday Road and Cape Monday Cove in Harrison, Maine. We are a non-profit association, funded solely by the annual dues of our members ($40). We have come together to advocate for road services, share news of the Harrison area, contribute to the preservation of our shared “home”, and continue to build our own community.

Originally, the primary purpose of the Cape Monday Cove Road Association was to coordinate the maintenance and improvements of this four mile long road loop off of Route 35. But when the Town of Harrison accepted the road in 1998, it was clear that the road was more than a dirt and asphalt thoroughfare, it was the connection for the 120+ families sharing this lakeside lifestyle along this stretch of the Eastern shore of Long Lake.

As a property owner on Cape Monday Road or Pitts Road, you are automatically a member of this association and welcome to attend any / all events that are held or to plan some for the group!

Every year, we hold one all-member association meeting and social gathering which is held at the end of summer – usually in the afternoon followed by a potluck social.
